CD release parties...
Two friends and I are thinking of having a three-way CD release party/concert. Any advice for doing it successfully?

how about giving EVERYBODY a taster cd that contains one track from each album. so everyone will leave with a FREE 3 track CD. even if they don't buy on the night, everyone will have a memento of the night and everyone will take away a taster of your music with them. it may entice them to buy in the future. at the least they'll still have one of your songs to play and listen to which is better than them not having it. word of mouth and all that....
